1984年東京生まれ。成蹊小・中学校を卒業後、カナダ・ブリティッシュコロンビア州へ単身留学。2003年、Oak Bay Secondary School卒業。2003〜2004年、University of Toronto Faculty of Arts and Science在籍。2009年、千葉大学工学部デザイン工学科建築学コース卒業。2015年、千葉大学工学研究科建築・都市科学専攻建築学コース博士後期課程修了(工学博士)。

大学院時代にソーラー住宅の世界大会「ソーラー・デカスロン」に日本代表チームのリーダーとして参加。2012年にスペイン・マドリッド、2014年にフランス・ベルサイユで次世代ソーラー住宅を建設。2014年に発表した「ルネ・ハウス」は工学・建設部門2位、電気エネルギー部門2位、建築デザイン部門3位を受賞。

2015年から、文部科学省「地(知)の拠点大学による地方創生推進事業(COC+)」の一環として、大学と地域の連携を推進する千葉大学コミュニティ・イノベーションオフィス特任助教に赴任。千葉地方圏での若者定着に向けた教育・研究・社会貢献に従事。人口7,000人の千葉県長柄町に移住し、自治体、地元企業と連携した大学連携型生涯活躍のまち(日本版CCRC)を研究する。長柄町では移住・定住促進、SDGsまちづくり、特産品開発などをおこなう。 2018年から内閣府地方創生人材として「長柄町タウンアドバイザー(非常勤特別職)」を兼務。町役場に出向し職員の育成にあたる。

大学の研究成果を地方に還元する研究成果活用型ベンチャー「株式会社ミライノラボ」を創設し、代表取締役CEOを兼務。国内外の自治体や企業等と若者による地域活性化に取組む。 研究分野は建築計画(環境学)、地方創生、サステナビリティ、地域起業論。

Born in Tokyo in 1984. After graduating from Seikei Elementary and Junior High School, moved to Victoria, British Columbia, Canada for overseas studies. Graduated from Oak Bay Secondary School in 2003. Enrolled at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Arts and Science from 2003 to 2004. Graduated from the Design Engineering Architecture Course, Faculty of Engineering at Chiba University, Japan, in 2009. Obtained Ph.D. in Engineering in 2015 from the Architecture Program, Division of Architecture and Urban Science at Chiba University Graduate School.

During graduate school, participated in the “Solar Decathlon” international conference on solar homes as Japan Team Leader, constructing next-generation solar homes in Madrid, Spain (2012) and Versailles, France (2014). The “Renai House” presented in 2014 won second place in the Engineering and Architecture division, second place in the Electrical Energy division, and third place in the Architectural Design division at Solar Decathlon Europe 2014.

Appointed in 2015 as Project Associate Professor at the Chiba University Office of Community and Innovation as part of the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology’s “Project for Key University Promotion of Regional Revitalization (COC+),” which promotes collaboration between universities and local communities. Performed education, research, and social contributions for attracting young people to local municipalities in Chiba Prefecture. Moved to Nagara, Chiba (population 7,000), where he researches university-affiliated “lifelong activity towns” that work in coordination with local governments and businesses (Japan-style CCRC, continuing care retirement community). Enacted policies for promoting relocation to and settling in Nagara (a town in Chiba Prefecture), working toward the Sustainable Development Goals for community development, developing regional specialty goods, etc. Appointed in 2020 at the Graduate School of Global and Transdisciplinary Studies in Chiba University. Since 2018, has served as Nagara Town Advisor (part-time position) under the Cabinet Office regional revitalization program and is seconded to the Nagara Town Hall.

Founder and currently CEO of Miraino Lab Co., Ltd., a consulting firm helping to return university research results to rural areas. Works on local revitalization initiatives involving young people working with domestic and international local governments and companies.
